Blog Follower Giveaway

I am SO GRATEFUL to my followers that I will send each one of you (ok, probably not my boyfriend!) a little giftie, a RAK (random act of kindness) if you will.

I know that I like getting mail so...

If you are following me RIGHT NOW and you'd like a craft item, probably greeting card(s) or something like that, send your physical/snail mail address to pamhoffman at cox dot net to claim your prize by 2/21!

If you write a little bit about what you do or what you like, I can send something a little more focused on your interests, if I have anything like that!

Are you having a giveaway? Do you ever practice RAK (random acts of kindness)? Do you know how to get followers? Leave a comment so we can all learn!

The Magic of Getting Mail...

I just LOVE getting cool stuff in the mail, don't you?

Well, it was a great day for mail today.

Three interesting things arrived.

I got a prize I won from The Kerrs....

beautifully wrapped!

I had forgotten that I won this so I was wondering what I had until I opened the package:

Thank You Jenny & Travis!

And for some reason, this came to me too:

I'll be digging thru the pages to see if there are any interesting images I can use for crafting and I'll probably recycle the rest (or maybe use some words from the pages).

I looked thru the items inside and they are better than average for this kind of thing!

And I did a survey a little while back and the reward came today too...

I was actually kind of expecting this one and I knew right away what it was about upon seeing the return address:

Do you have any prize winning tips on winning prizes and giveaways? What have you won lately? Are you using giveaways on your blog for anything?

OWOH Winner!

Thank you all SO MUCH for visiting my blog for this One World, One Heart event!

You are ALL winners - you met some great new blogger buddies and you got a lot of eye candy with all the prizes and all the things everyone creates and posts to their blogs and maybe even a little inspiration! I know I did.

And the blogs are still there to go and see. I'll be visiting even more as I did not get through the entire list in time - found out about it a bit late I suppose...

As for the giveaway on MY blog, I printed out all the eligible entries, cut them to size (as uniformly as possible!) and had my boyfriend pick out a winner!

drumroll please..

And the WINNER IS...

Grace!

I'll send Grace an email message letting her know that she is the winner of the greeting cards (and a few other things i picked up over the weekend!).

Thank you all for participating in my blog giveaway for OWOH!

Like Books? Go Here!

Real Quick, there's a very special giveaway on Lily Bean's blog.

You want to visit the Cheerios site too!

Thanks for playing,

Pam Hoffman

OK, that's my goofy boyfriend not me!

I Won!

Remember when I mentioned some ways to win stuff? Well, I won another prize recently and I realized that I have a little bit more to say about it...

*Keep a list of the sites you want to visit for their giveaways so you can just click right on over (they'll enjoy the repeat visitors too!)!

You might even prioritize the sites and visit them by order of giveaways, and other things you decide to look for in a giveaway (like odds of winning!).

*Some sites have a bit of incentive for winning - as in goodreads.com - their 'Terms & Conditions' actually mention that using the site, writing reviews, etc. will increase your chances of winning (i won a book already in one of their giveaways!). So, do what they suggest!

*Pay attention to the odds! I said it before and I still think it's the most important part and the best indicator of winning - the better the 'odds' the better chance you have of winning. If you are the only one entered to win, guess who's gonna get it?!?

*And then, be grateful for your prize and the providers OF the prize(s).

Here's how I'm going to do that in this post. I'm going to tell you what I won, where it came from and how I got a chance to win...

I won a great bracelet. I wasn't entirely thrilled by the photos so when it arrived, WOW! Way cool and I will probably keep it now (i was thinking about using it as a gift).

The package arrived! I'm so excited.

Lots of goodies in there!

Wow, Great Jewelry! Thanks Linda!

Sent from Tartocs Treasures: Linda Tocco.

So Smart, she included her contact info in multiples so I can pass it on!

Business Card...

...& a Book Mark! Bravo!!

I entered for this giveaway on the SillyLittleLady's blog it's a very fun site!

Now you know my secrets so...

Go try for a win!

Le Femme Bookmark Swap!

Been a bit busy lately. When I realized that Karen was doing her 'Brag Monday' and noticed that she is also offering a giveaway, I figured I'd better get back in the saddle here!

I was part of a very nice Bookmark swap recently that I used some of the "Graphics Fairy" images so what a perfect chance to share with you what I did!?!

The swap was thru swap-bot [love that site!] called Le Femme Bookmark.

Let's see if I can make sense of the pictures I just loaded up like crazy here...

OK, all sorted out.

I had two partners to send to and I read the profiles of each person carefully. Because of this, the two bookmarks turned out very differently.

The first likes fall type colors so I worked with the Victorian Lady with Fancy Dress from Karen's site.

Assembling the parts

I used the transfer technique I described in my first post to this blog.

I added a tag she could customize to the swap

Here's the whole package!

I had a couple of Karen's images on the next one. One set of images came from a collage of Ladies Shoes and the other from a page of butterfly wings.

The Ladies Shoes incorporate the transfer technique.

Ladies Shoes ready to be cut out from the paper and packing tape

Front of the bookmark, there is foam dot behind the butterfly wings for dimension

Back of the bookmark

The whole package, ready to ship

Enjoy,

Pam Hoffman

With my boyfriend Jeff, we're working thru Jessica Sprague's "Holidays in Hand" and this photo was for 'joy' we like being together!

"These are a few of my favorite things..."

I've decided that one of my FAVORITE things in life is to win prizes!

What could be better? We KNOW the lottery is so fantastically popular because of a chance to WIN! And isn't it nice to feel like a winner?

I know I like this feeling.

That is why I actively seek out contest, giveaways, whatever-you-call-em!

I LOVE to win.

Periodically, I'll let you know about a site with a giveaway for you and you can try for it too.

Never won anything? Start by saying 'I win prizes' and guess what? You'll start winning, then you can move on to say 'I win a lot of great stuff' and you will!

Here's the first one I want to tell you about...

Sill Little Lady's Spot on the Web offers a weekly giveaway in conjunction with an etsy seller.

I recently won a prize from the site and it came to me in the mail so fast!

I win A LOT!

I go to crops and win, I sign up for online giveaways and win... I'm a winner!

You are too.

Go now and try for it.

If you REALLY want to win, spend a little time looking for

1) things you want to win
2) find places where the 'odds' are good - say 1 in 18 or so, not millions to 1!
3) follow the directions explicitly!!! you don't want to get disqualified because you didn't do something right

and you will probably start winning. Keep up the self-talk, it'll happen!

See you on the next giveaway,

Pam Hoffman
